Katie's Planters Wart

Katie couldn't wait for the appointment with foot doctor....so she called Dr. Lujan. She knew he would come to her rescue. She asked him if he agreed to see her because he loved her and he said "NO, I agreed because I need the practice"!

We love Dr. Lujan!

Cambell had a dream last night....

Cambell joined us in bed last night and asked me if dreams were true. I told her NO and asked what her dream was about. She said she dreamed that daddy drowned! I told her that daddy wouldn't drown because he knew how to swim. Then I reminded her of how daddy worked on her swimming every afternoon when we moved into Phil Tyner so she would know how to swim. She said OK and went right to sleep. Kennedy joined her at some point!

New Beginings 2011

This might have been Katie's last New Beginnings.  John and I were both there and enjoyed every minute.  Taylor Corbin and Emily Jones organized the program for one of their Young Women Personal Progress projects.

Each young woman represented a value.
Madison Corbin - Faith

Sarah White - Divine Nature

Katie Toolan - Individual Worth

Kendra Frierson - Knowledge

Savannah Mobley - Choice & Accountability

Keidra Perdue - Good Works

Tarryn Frierson - Integrity

Emily Jones - Virtue

I didn't realize they had color coordinated their shields and shirts until the end.  The girls did an amazing job.  The Crestview 2nd Ward Young Women will be future leaders!

Taylor Corbin was the announcer for the program and the 3 girls on the bottom row are Tiffany Lawson, Bria Smith and Stephanie Smith.  This was their 1st New Beginnings!

You always need a crazy picture!

Day at the Orthodontist

Mathew and Kennedy had checkups today with Dr's. Bayer & Curtis Orthodontist. Kennedy had a situation they had never seen before. She lost a tooth that had a bracket on it and it was still attached to the wire....and it had a cavity. Dr. Curtis said it was a very expensive tooth.
Shannon, the assistant, was very helpful today and showed Mathew how to brush better and explained the importance of wearing his bands. Cambell had fun with the kids in the waiting room. This doctors office has the best toys and video games in their waiting room.

Mathew's purple teeth was evidence he needed to do better at brushing. Dr. Bayer took care of Jeri's teeth when she was a kid!

First post from the DROID!

We are having a blast kickin' by the pool! The kids cleaned the house while I did the grocery shopping. They are such a huge help around the house. I love them so much!

Papa Pete's New Farm

My dad (Pete Tew) bought his aunt's farm this month. I am sure this is has always been a dream of his. Aunt Carlee was his mothers sister. Carlee and her husband Ezra lived on this property in Escambia Farms as long as I can remember.

I liked looking at this tree.  I can remember coming to the property as a kid and the family sitting around/under this tree visiting.  The property is in rough shape but dad is enjoying having a project to work on.  It's not to far but not to close.
