Today was a great day! Katie and the rest of the seniors at CHS were recognized at awards day. Katie was a part of the program because she is the senior class vice president.
I remember a day 3 years ago when Katie came home saying she wanted to run for vice president. I am not one to do things half butt.... So I was up for the challenge. We didn't have long to convince the class that Katie would be the best person for the job. Katie came home the next day and announced Hannah Singletary had put her name in the hat for vice president and she didn't want to do it any more. I said OH NO! If we go down, we will go down fighting! Holly started on flyers, I started printing material and Katie went to the store for more supplies.
Our slogan was KT for VP! Kind of cute ugh? We hung about 20 flyers all over the school and we wrapped candy with the logo and passed it out to every kid she could find. They would run out and we bought more. I felt like we advertised to the best
Of our abilities.
Katie won the election for 10th grade and continued to win for her junior and senior year as well. This was a great lesson for us to give it your all and the results will follow!
Katie has done a great job representing the Class of 2012! Katie was recognized for getting accepted into Brigham Young University Idaho. We are so proud of her!
